Moving to Hong Kong, Newland has two options to you, if you only want to send some personal belongings, 

we will suggest you to send the shipment by truck which is a easy, efficient way, according to this way, there is 

not customs declaration in original, and there is not customs clearance at destination Hong Kong, the cost also 

less. But if you want to take your whole household goods to Hong Kong which include bunchs of furniture, then 

we will suggest you to send the shipment by sea with a container, this is the safe way to protect the furnitrues, 

Customs in original and clearance in Hong Kong are very simple. We require a signed copy of the customers 

passport, the packing list and letter authorizing us to clear the shipment on the customers behalf.

All items are duty free except vehicles, alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco and perfume.
Due to traffic restrictions, all shipments will be cleared at the port and unloaded to the truck for delivery by small truck.

Containers are not normally delivered to residence. And if the residence is out of Hong Kong island like Lamma island, 

discovery bay etc, there will be extra delivery charge incurred.

 

If the residence is above the second floor and no elevator is available, extra charges will be incurred for the carry 

upstairs/hoisting and will be billed to the customer PRIOR to delivery.

Please never mix personal effects with commercial goods, Hong Kong is a free port, it is very easy for import used 

persnal effect, but it is very strict for import commerical goods.
