Shanghai, China Immigration Update
Shanghai PSB recently released the new instruction on completing the Chinese Visa / Residence License Application Form.
The applicant must now insert his/her working location address on the Visa Application Form. Generally, the address should be the same as the company registered address on the business license.
If the registered address on the company business license is different from the actual working location address, the applicant should fill in the actual working location address. If the applicant works from home due to the nature of his job responsibilities, he/she should fill in his residential address.
In the past, the application form can be accepted if the working location address section is left blank.
What's the Impact?
Shanghai PSB emphasized the importance of indicating the correct working location address on the Visa Application Form. If the applicant is found to provide the wrong working location address, the Chinese Visa/Residence License application may be rejected.
Shanghai PSB has the right to conduct random inspection at the applicant’s office premise in Shanghai when the Visa / Residence License application is in the process.
Therefore, Newland strongly suggests the applicant to provide the correct office location address to your HR Representative or immigration service provider to complete the information correctly on the application form before filing the Visa/Residence License application to avoid any potential delays or issues.
